Mark Lewis joined the Blue Star Basketball Family in 2007 following over 20 years at the collegiate level - he is now the national recruiting coordinator for ESPN's Girls Basketball Division. Mark came to us from Washington State University where he was the associate head coach for five years. Mark was one of the most respected recruiters in the country with strong routes in the Pac-10 conference. Prior to his time at WSU Mark was the recruiting coordinator at Arizona State University, University of Cincinnati , and stints at Western Kentucky & Memphis State University, including his alma mater Southern Miss.

During Lewis's time at Washington State he helped ink the programs Top 100 player in the Class of 2004 (Ebony Coates), along with the Pac-10's 2-time rebounding champion (Kate Benz). Prior to Washington State Mark was at Western Kentucky for one season after leaving Arizona State University where he was the Recruiting Coordinator there from 1996-2001 . He was a part of guiding that program to national prominence that was capped off by their first Pac-10 Championship & ranked in the Top 25 in 2001 (their first national ranking in 18 years).

Prior to the Sun Devils Mark was at the University of Cincinnati for 4 seasons he established himself as one of the top up & coming recruiters in the country. In 1995 the Bearcats recruiting class was among the nations's top 40. 1992's class featured two first-team junior college All-Americans.

Mark started his career at Memphis State University from 1985-1991 where he was able to be a part of two Metro Conference Championship teams.

During Mark's 22 year career he was one of the strongest advocates at the WBCA (Women's Basketball Coaches Association) on the improvement of young assistants. He was a consistent lecturing at Recruiting Roundtables at their National Conventions. He was twice ranked as one of the top 25 assistant coaches in the game by the WBCA.

A native of Iroquois High School in Erie, PA, he graduated from Southern Mississippi University in athletic administration and coaching, Mark presently resides in Ohio.
