Brett Vana

Brett Vana comes to Blue Star in 2016 after being at Weber State as an assistant coach and Northwestern Oklahoma State as their head coach. Brett brings over 15 years of coaching experience at various levels including international experience.

While at Weber State he helped the program become one of the top defensive teams and they were at Top 30 rebounding program while assisting the program.

Prior to his time at Weber State Brett had a very successful stint at Louisburg College in North Carolina. In two seasons he led the program to the NJCAA Div. II National Championship accumulating a 63-5 record while there. He was named the regional Coach of the Year and was a 2x Runner-Up for the WBCA Junior College National Coach of the Year.

Before joining the college ranks Brett was found on a sideline in Switzerland, Denmark, & Germany on the men and women's side of the game as a head coach at various levels of experience and successes.

Brett attended Lake Erie College in OH where he was a four year starter that graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. He was the Male Athlete of they Year during his time, and in 2000 was inducted into the Lake Erie College Hall of Fame. He stepped on to the sidelines for the first time when he was a graduate assistant at Western Kentucky University before going overseas.

Brett and his family presently reside in Utah.
