Final Results for the Blue Star Country Classic Tournament

2nd Annual Blue Star Country Classic SHOWCASE Results

#15 ranked Rich Central (3A) started off the day defeating #11 ranked St. Thomas More (2A) by a score of 63-47. Sophomore Alexandra Stanford led the Olympians with 17 points, and Senior Madaesha Stuckey added 13 points includeing 3 three points. Maggie Fitzgerald led the Sabers with 15 points.

In the 2nd game of the day #7 ranked T.F. North (3A) defeated Von Stueben (4A) 54-36. After only having a 4 point lead at half time the Comets came out and controlled the 2nd half to secure the victory. Cincinnati bound Jeanise Randolph had 15 points to lead T.F North while Shonte Clay (Minnesota) 12 points, and LaTerria Taylor (Northwestern) 11 points.

In the final game #1 ranked Bolingbrook (4A) absolutely suffocated Brebeuf Jesuit (IN) defeating them 71-13. Holding the to just 4 points in the first half - the entire Raiders team was involved on both sides of the ball. Junior Ariel Massengale set the tone with 10 points in limited work. Brefeuf was led by Alexx Puckett (Coastal Carolina) with 7 points.

3rd Annual Blue Star Country Classic TOURNAMENT Results

The 3rd Annual Blue Star Country Classic High School Basketball Tournament in Champaign, IL crowned its champion last night as #11 ranked 2A St. Thomas More High School (6-0) defeated #14 ranked 3A Champaign Centennial (4-1) by a score of 54-47. Brittany Einck led the Sabers with 16 points going 4 for 5 behind the three point line tying the school record for shooting behind the arc . Maggie Fitzgerald had 15 points and 8 rebounds, and Jade Brinkoetter had 10 points going 5 for 6 from the field. The Sabers went undefeated in the event against all 3A schools including #20 ranked Champaign Central.
